Get my websiteWhy website prices are so hard to compare
Ask three people what a website costs and you will hear three very different numbers, from a free website builder you do yourself to agency quotes in the thousands. Most of that gap comes from four things: how many pages you need, whether the design is custom, who writes the words and takes the photos, and what the site has to do, such as bookings, payments or an online shop.
The running costs are where people get caught. A website has a domain name (renewed every year), hosting (where the site lives), sometimes a builder subscription, and sometimes a monthly care or maintenance fee. Some quotes look cheap because the hosting is billed at a high monthly rate, or because the domain is registered in the agency's name, so moving later is hard. Always ask who owns the domain, the hosting account and the site files.
Most local businesses do not need a big site. Customers want your hours, prices, location, photos of your work and a way to call or book. One fast page that answers those questions usually does more for a salon, café, clinic or tradie than ten pages nobody reads.

With us, the only required running cost is your domain renewal, about A$10–25 a year for a .com.au. Hosting is free. A care plan is optional: self-managed is A$0 and Essentials is A$79 a month.
Our sites run on free hosting with HTTPS, in your own account. Builder platforms such as Wix or Squarespace include hosting in their monthly subscription.
If you already have a site, we can rebuild it as a fast one-page site on your existing domain for the same fixed price, or keep your site and add what is missing, such as a booking button. Bigger redesigns are quoted in writing first.
It can be, if it is fast, accurate, works on phones and you own it. What makes a site expensive later is lock-in: hosting you cannot move, or a domain in someone else's name. Ours are in your name from day one.
No. For the one-page website you pay once it is done and you are happy. Bigger sites: once you accept the written quote we invoice 20% to start, and the other 80% once you have approved the finished site, before it goes live.
