Tell us what needs fixingIT help for businesses too small for an IT department
Most small businesses do not need a managed IT contract. They need someone to set up Microsoft 365 properly, move email off an old provider, get the new laptop and the receipt printer working, and switch on the security basics before something goes wrong. Most "IT support" offers are monthly managed plans built for bigger offices.
We do the setup and fix-it work remotely, as fixed-price jobs. We connect with a secure remote desktop tool only while you are there and can see what we do, and the session ends when we finish. We are not a managed IT provider: no on-site visits, no 24/7 cover, no hardware repair. For those, a local on-site IT business is the right call, and we are happy to hand over our notes.
Who it’s for
What we can do remotely
- Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace set up for your team, or moved from one to the other
- Business email on your own domain, with SPF, DKIM and DMARC checked so mail stays out of spam
- Domain and DNS tidy-up: who owns it, when it renews, and records that point to the right places
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA) switched on for every account, and a password manager rolled out to staff
- Cloud backup set up for email and files, with a test restore so you know it works
- A new laptop or PC set up remotely: accounts, apps, printers, updates and security settings
- Printers, receipt printers and POS apps set up remotely, where a computer on site can reach them
- Wi-Fi and router guidance, such as a guest network for customers kept apart from your POS and office devices
- Remote help sessions through a secure remote desktop tool, with you present the whole time
- Plain-English notes on what we set up, with every login kept in your password manager, not on paper
What we don't do
- On-site visits or installs
- 24/7, after-hours or emergency cover, or guaranteed response times
- Hardware repairs or part replacements
- Cabling or network installs
- Managed security or compliance work, such as Essential Eight audits
- Server administration
- Data recovery from failed or damaged drives
- Ongoing managed IT contracts
For any of these, use a local on-site IT provider. We are happy to share our setup notes with them.

How long it takes
Business email Starter has a working first version in 24–48 hours once we have access to your domain. Small jobs, such as switching on MFA or setting up one laptop, are usually booked as a single remote session. Migrations and bigger jobs take longer, and you get the timeline in writing first.

StartThere is no hourly rate here. Business email has fixed prices above. Everything else is a fixed price quoted in writing before we start, after a short chat about your setup. Listed fixed-price jobs are paid once they are done; bigger quoted jobs are invoiced 20% when you accept the quote and 80% once you have approved the finished work. Microsoft, Google, password manager and backup subscriptions are paid by you directly to those companies; we tell you current prices before you sign up and take no cut.

Quick answers
Managed IT plans usually charge monthly, per user or per device. We do not sell monthly contracts: each job is a fixed price quoted in writing before we start. Business email setup is A$165 (Starter) or A$429 (Pro, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 for up to 5 people), inc GST.
Choose a business plan, verify your domain, create your users, add the DNS records, switch on MFA, move old mail across and set up each device. We can do all of that remotely as our Business email Pro job, or quote a bigger migration in writing.
It can be, done properly. We connect only when you start the session, using a secure remote desktop tool, while you are there and can watch. You can end it at any time, and we do not leave unattended access behind.
Yes, once it is switched on, connected to the internet and someone can start the remote session. We set up accounts, apps, printers, updates and security settings. Unboxing and plugging in is up to you.
We recommend one after seeing your setup and what you already pay for, and you subscribe directly. Common choices include 1Password or Bitwarden for passwords, and a dedicated cloud backup service for Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
We are not an emergency service and cannot promise a response time. Change the password straight away, turn on MFA, and report it through ReportCyber at cyber.gov.au or call 1300 CYBER1 (1300 292 371). We can help tighten security afterwards.
